Williams became the first athlete to win the award and turned heads at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City with her dress’s oversized sleeves, plunging neckline, nipped-in silhouette and elegant long train.
To make her look even more dazzling, the Olympian added a dramatic diamond necklace and sparkling hoop earrings. As for her glam, Williams styled her long, caramel-colored ombre hair into a center-parted, slicked-back bun.
For her look, the mom rocked two smoky eye shadows, bold black eyeliner, thick lashes, radiant blush and a lavender pout.
Before the evening began, the multi-talented woman spoke to CFDA about her personal style and lifelong love of fashion. “Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve used fashion as an outlet to express myself — fashion gave me the confidence to go out on the court, acknowledge who I am and know where I’m going,” she said.
