The only thing missing from the winner of this game is Craig Aiello going down in the background.
It’s not a frame-by-frame mirror image of Michael Jordan’s game-winning shot in the 1989 NBA playoffs, but St. Peter’s Prep sophomore guard Richie Rosa’s game-winning shot on Thursday night felt like Very similar feeling. Jordan’s signature moment, simply known as “The Shot,” is a classic moment in NBA history.
Rosa’s shot is about 18 feet away and definitely has a Jordan feel to it.
Rosa’s buzzer-beating jumper helped St. Peter’s Prep (Jersey City, N.J.) advance to the NJSIAA Non-Public North A finals Thursday night. The Marauders are now on a five-game winning streak and will face Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) on Monday night.

Rosa’s wonderful shooting and Jordan’s temperament are undeniable.

Don Bosco features five-star guard Dylan Harper (Rutgers basketball), ranked No. 13 in the latest USA Today HSS Super 25.
Unlike Jordan who made a series of signature punches, Rosa chose not to celebrate. Instead, the sophomore walked with aplomb as his teammates mobbed him.
After such a blow, Rosa can do whatever she wants.
