The mayor of Glendale, Arizona, Jerry P. Weiers, announced that for two days the city will take on the symbolic name of “swift city” in honor of the two stops on the singer’s tour.
Glendale is honored to host Taylor Swift at the State Farm Stadium on the evenings of March 17 and 18,” Mayor Weiers began. “The swifties – name of the singer’s fans – will have the opportunity to shake off – a reference to her song Shake it off -, or rather, dance to the notes of Taylor Swift for the first time in five years since his last concert here».
