Promises is a 2021 film directed by Amanda Sthers. The film is adapted from the novel Les Promesses published by Éditions Grasset et Fasquelle in France and by Rizzoli in Italy under the title Promises. The film will be released in Italian theaters on November 18, 2021. In the cast we find Pierfrancesco Favino, Kelly Reilly, Jean Reno, Cara Theobold, Kris Marshall, Deepak Verma, Leon Hesby, Ginnie Watson.

When great love comes it overwhelms everything it meets. Alexander is a man with a difficult childhood, finally happy with his wife and their daughter. Laura is an art gallery owner about to get married. When they meet at a party they understand at first glance that they will have no escape. But life seems to have other plans for them. Between choices they won’t be able to make and a repeatedly mocking destiny, they will go through their entire existence tormented by a feeling that devours them.
