Tom Brady: ‘I’m happy for Mike’

Joe hasn’t heard Tom Brady talk about Baker Mayfield in a Tampa Bay uniform, but he’s talking about another Buccaneer this week.
Brady still co-hosts his let’s go! SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio airs weekly during football season. Little has changed in the format, except for Brady no longer talking about the Buccaneers every week and sharing his feelings about the last game.
Goat seems to be enjoying life as a fan, which he mentioned this week includes cheering on his buddies, including a certain Buccaneers receiver.
“It’s nice to watch … and not feel like you’re living or dying on every score,” Brady said. “Yes, there are teams and players that I support, but it’s not like when you’re in the game (you’re thinking), ‘Oh, God, I hope they lose because it helps our position.'” You know, you just want to see your friends do well. Mike (Evans) ran for 160 or 170 yards this weekend; I’m happy for Mike. It’s great to see my friends do well. “
When Brady mentioned Evans, his tone was filled with enthusiasm. Joe wonders if Brady will publicly say later this season that the Buccaneers should pay him his fair share in 2024 and beyond.
