Elizabeth Olsen returns to the small screen as the ‘unusual housewife’in an HBO Max series inspired by a true story: Love & Death is based on the story of Candy Montgomery, a housewife accused of murder, a case dating back to June 13, 1980. In the small town of Wylie, Texas, housewife Candace has been accused of killing the wife of her lover, Betty Gore, and the terrible murder has deeply shaken public opinion.

Love & Death is created by David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies) and, in addition to Elizabeth Olsen, stars Jesse Plemons as lover Allan Gore, Lily Rabe as wife Betty and Patrick Fugit as Candy Montgomery’s husband.
