So when did David Bowie play? I saw him when he was in Ziggy Stardust. Damiano, who is always bare-chested, did Iggy Pop experience this? By the way, they did the cover I want to be your dog it’s horrible.
Did you not like it?
Are we kidding? Have you heard the original? Come on… With all due respect, for God’s sake. I have friends who tell me that I need to listen to the guitarist from Måneskin. But what should I hear? Unfortunately, I am 75 years old, I heard everyone. Rock was born with me.
Are they right to ignore these judgments?
You see, this is a real masterpiece, very rare in the history of music. You know?

From marketing. Because they present themselves very well. I mean, even when Victoria throws herself into the public eye… We’ve already seen a lot of that in the 70s. Then they released three albums, but how many did they sell? Can we know how much they sold, or should we just listen to what the newspapers say? Because there are artists and there are activists.
Do you think that sometimes failures are hidden?

Have you seen the Venice Film Festival?
You mean the parade of unknowns at the Venice Film Festival. Is it still called a film festival or has it become the “Monster of Venice”? I don’t really follow it, but I read the newspapers. I love cinema, my family comes from cinema. Yesterday I was talking to two of my cousins whose father was a very good director. But we haven’t been to the theater for many years.
Why?
If you think one of the greatest box office hits in history is Barbie… But this is impossible, guys! Cinema is made of stories, not of these things.
Oppenheimer did you see this?
Not yet. I really like at least two actors in the cast: Cillian Murphy and Emily Blunt. They tell me they are very, very good and will probably win an Oscar. But I’ll wait to see Quo vadis, a 1950s Hollywood film about the ancient Romans, filmed in Rome. There’s Robert Taylor and Deborah Kerr. I hope to see it soon because I think it will be an amazing story.
