It was July 2022 when the web started talking about a possible development of the sequel to Heat – The Challengethe famous film by Michael Mann released in 1995. Years after those rumors, further confirmations arrive, as reported by Deadline. The article reads that Warner Bros. Pictures would enter talks to develop Heat 2 and the names of some actors who could star in the film are already starting to circulate. And among them we also find Adam Driverwho just recently worked with Mann for the film Ferrari: the actor – entered into negotiations – should play the young Neil McCauley, a character who was played by Robert De Niro in the original film.
Heat 2 has a script written by Mann and Meg Gardiner and will tell the story of everything that happens before and after the main characters.
The original film was released in theaters with a stellar cast: from the aforementioned De Niro to Al Pacino, via Val Kilmer, Jon Voight, Natalie Portman, William Fichtner and Ashley Judd.
