Cardi B was “so shy” when she first met Megan Thee Stallion.
During an interview with Billboard, the 28-year-old shared details about her relationship with her friend and collaborator Cardi B.
“As far as friendship goes, it’s so real,” Megan said of Cardi. “When I first met her, she was so shy! Someone would probably see her online and think her personality would be one thing, no, it’s so much the opposite.”
Rapper Savage continued: “But when we started having more (close) friends – you know, people get shy and then they’re like, ‘Oh yeah, is that you for real?’ “I feel like I’ll definitely see the real her.”
Megan noted that what she likes most about the Bodak Yellow hitmaker is her kindness.
“She’s so sweet and a really kind person. That’s what I really like about her. And she’s just rude,” she shared. “The first thing that comes to this woman’s mind is that she will say it! And I like it. I respect such people. She’s definitely a “take it however you want it” type of person.
The two artists collaborated back in 2020, releasing their hit WAP. The track received several award nominations, including an MTV Video Music Award for “Song of the Summer”.
Most recently, the pair worked together on their new song Bongos. They first performed the hit at the MTV VMAs in September.
