The singer has never hidden that the break from Piquè was an immense pain for her: “It was hard after the separation,” Shakira underlined during the interview on the American talk show.

The famous revenge-song Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 which bears the signature of Argentinian record producer Bizarrap, was an instant success. The Colombian singer she pointed out that she had originally written the track for herself. «I had a very difficult year after my separation – says Shakira – and writing this song was very important to me. It was a healthy way to channel my emotions».

The success and incredible reception of the song made her understand how the stories of many women are inextricably linked and united by the same experience. «StI feel that after publishing this song I have a sisterhood of women who live what I have lived – the singer explained again -, who think as I think and who feel as I feel».

Then, Shakira added: «I wrote this song for me, but I thought it for many women with the aim of giving a voice that represents them».
